I really wish Notion had a setting from the top-level page in a workspace or even a global workspace setting that would allow you to set the typography for an entire workspace and all pages within it.
October 28, 2020 NotionSpending the last two weeks organizing my photography archive has been an exhausting yet fruitful exercise. Looking back on photos taken over the last 10 years has given me time to reflect on how I take photographs and why I enjoy taking photographs. I should probably start sharing some of my favorites over the last decade now that I’ve started to cull and organize the archive.
October 27, 2020 PhotographyR.I.P Nipsey Hussle
Damn, another artist taken way too soon.
It saddens me that I only just discovered his music within the last 1 month, but in the short time I’ve had to explore his music it became very clear, very quickly that this was someone who had clear goals and a vision for what he wanted to accomplish for not only himself but his community.
His last and final album, Victory Lap, has been on repeat in my current rotation and the album is going to punch a little harder on its next playthrough.
Sleep well Nipsey.
March 31, 2019 Nipsey Hussle MusicStage 1 - Justice vs. Mayhem
The Justice (1-6) finally managed to get their first win in the Overwatch League against the Florida Mayhem (1-6)! I’m so happy they were finally able to close out a game and end the stage on a good note.
If they can figure out how to fix:
- Janus dying first on every team fight
- The constant conceding of space on payload maps
- Gido’s transcendence usage
- Ado dying early in fights as well
I think this team has the potential to make a run for the stage 2 playoffs. I’m looking forward to see how they come back in stage 2, especially with the potential meta changes on the horizon.
March 17, 2019 Washington Justice Florida Mayhem Overwatch LeagueStage 1 - Justice vs. Dynasty
Despite my initial thoughts that the Justice would be able to sneak a match win against the Dynasty - (3-3), they weren’t able to pull off the upset.
Main thought regarding the game this week:
- Janus is now the main focus every teamfight. Teams have zeroed in on his tendecy to be overly-aggressive and he pays for it constantly.
As Week 4 comes to a close, the Justice are sitting at 0-5, 2nd to last in the standings1. It’s been a rough Stage 1 as the team is still gelling learning to play with one another. I’m still optimistic that they’ll be able to pull off atleast 1 match win in their double-header Stage 1 finale against the Paris Eternal - (2-2) and Florida Mayhem - (1-4).
The Los Angeles Valiant finished Stage 1 with a 0-7 record and a -9 map differential. The Justice can finish 19th of 20 if they can maintain a -10 or higher map differential.↩
Stage 1 - Justice vs. Shock
Kirsten and I finally made it to one of the larger Justice watch parties, which was held at Tenley Bar & Grill in DC.
As we’ve started attending more events, it’s been nice to see some familiar faces. It’s also been nice to see a fan base that’s super passionate about their home team despite the rocky start to the season.
Some main thoughts regarding the game this week:
- Janus is still dying a bit too early at the beginning of team fights.
- Gido showed a little more patience in not using his transcendence1 so liberally.
I see them improving every game despite not being able to pull off the win. That win could come as early as this week, especially with how the Seoul Dynasty - (2-3) have been playing lately.
Stage 1 - Justice vs. Fusion
This team is starting to flash their potential but some key things have stood out to me:
- Janus is dying too early
- Gido is using trans too early
- Fahzix is dying too early
Hopefully they can rebound against the San Francisco Shock - (2-3).
February 28, 2019 Washington Justice Philadelphia Fusion Overwatch LeagueStage 1 - Justice vs. Spitfire
Went to our first Overwatch League (OWL)1 watch party in Potomac tonight. Even though the Justice2 lost 5-4 in a reverse sweep3 to the defending OWL Champions4, it was a nice introduction to the local Overwatch community and I’m looking forward to getting more involved this season.
